Now that summer has officially started, it is important to know the basic things that should be inside our baby bags when we travel with our babies, toddlers and kids.
Here are some of the items that you shouldn’t miss to pack:
Choose a kid-friendly sunscreen and sunblock that has an SPF of at least 15 to 30 and provides broad-spectrum of UVA and UVB protection. It is also important that it is water-resistant since kids sweat a lot when they play. To those with sensitive skin, you may choose sunscreen products that are hypoallergenic and fragrance free. There are many brands to choose from like Aveeno, California Baby, Neutrogena, Banana Boat Baby, Coppertone, Hawaiian Tropics, etc.
Drinking lots of fluid is essential most especially this summer season. This is not only applicable to children but to adults as well. We should drink more than the usual 8 glasses of water a day to replenish the body fluid that we release when we sweat and to hydrate ourselves from the scorching heat of the sun. Get your BPA-free bottles and fill them up with potable water.
Kids needs to enjoy summer but at the same protected from the sun rays 🙂 Thank you for the helpful tips, greatly appreciated 🙂
i totally agree with everything mentioned above. those things are in my purse all the time.:)
informative post, i guess adults must have sunscreen also..heheehe
it’s not quite summer here in my part of the world. 🙂 but this sure is helpful for me to prepare for thsi year’s scorching summer heat.
I hope you can use the guidelines when summer comes. =)
These are indeed summer must-haves for our young kids. No parent should venture out with their kids without these.
Yes, Ms. Teresa and I hope all parents will not take these things for granted for their kids’ welfare.
Kids totally need those two. They may enjoy the summer vacation because they’re out from school for a few months but still they have to be protected. Sun protection is a must because they must be protected from the summer heat. Especially now that the sun rays are harmful for the skin. And of course, water, so they don’t get dehydrated as they play along.
Yes, and it’s so important for kids to be educated with the harmful effects of too much sun exposure to their skin.
My kids does not like water very much but I make sure that they take enough liquid to hydrate them.
I’m like them, I don’t like drinking water too. It’s really an effort for us.

yahooooo! We’re ready for summer fun 😀
Ms. Jheylo, it seems your family is summer-ready and excited to hit the beach. =)
water is very important this scorching hot season. Sunscreen is a must if you’re going out especially at the beach.
Yes, but, I suggest you still use sunscreen even you’re at home for protection.
truly mom drinking water this time must be more because of the unbeatable hot summer season bring
Yes, I think the recommended 8 glasses of water intake everyday should be increased.
Getting hydrated and using sunscreen is really a rule when we are out and about with my little girls. Thanks for sharing these must-haves.
Yes, we should just find the non-sticky sunscreens so the kids will not feel uneasy and greasy. =)
Gotta have some protection from the harmful UV rays. Definitely drink plenty of fluids so we don’t get dehydrated and getting sick after all. Sure is not good. Our weather here is not as bad yet since it is still the spring, but I hope this summer is not going to be like the past summers where it was just scorching hot like you can cook an egg on the driveway. Oh dear!
Ms. Aldin, that’s what we are experiencing now here in the Philippines. It’s so hot! Way hotter than the previous summers we had.
because of the heat of the sun, our kids really need to drink a lot of water and of course not to mention us. Nice tip for this hot weather.
I look forward to the summer time! Thanks for the tips surely will have those on the lists:)
you are such a great mom. I always forget to bring sunscreen or germ-ex when we go out to park or somewhere when it’s summertime. Thanks for sharing this info, I hope to remember putting some important stuff in my girls bag when we go out.
